What Do You Like About Yourself?
Welcome to Day 2 of the 30-Day Confidence Reset.
Yesterday, you have learned to accept where you are. Now, it’s time to move on the second part of the journey and learn to appreciate things that you like in yourself.
It can happen sometimes and not even for the first time that you are trying to find what you want to change in yourself and, at the same time, forget about the things that you want to be changed in yourself.
You are kind, patient, creative, and ambitious. You are a good listener, responsible, curious, and never give up.
Confidence is a trait that is not only manifested in changing for the better but also in being able to accept the positive things about yourself.
✨ Today’s Focus
Notice what you appreciate about yourself.
Today’s assignment is not to come up with a list of all things that you’re good at.
Instead, think of your qualities, efforts, values, and some other little things that make you unique.
Things that you may ask yourself could be:
- What do I like about my personality?
- What qualities do people appreciate in me?
- What am I learning or improving on that I’m proud of?
- When have I made someone feel better?
- What is something that I do better than I realize?
Don’t underestimate your answers to these questions.
Small things matter.
🌸 Today’s Challenge: Your “I Like About Me” List
Set aside 10–15 minutes today.
Take your journal and write down at least 5 things you like or appreciate about yourself.
They don’t have to be impressive.
🌿 Try This: See Yourself Through Someone Else’s Eyes
Imagine that someone who genuinely cares about you is writing a short description of you.
What would they notice?
- Maybe they would mention your kindness.
- Maybe your sense of humor.
- Maybe your determination.
- Maybe the way you help others.
- Maybe your ability to keep going.
Write 3–5 things you think they might say.
This exercise can help you notice qualities that you may overlook when you’re judging yourself too harshly.
✨ Today’s Confidence Exercise
Stand somewhere comfortable, look at yourself, and say:
“I am allowed to appreciate who I am.”
You don’t have to feel completely confident saying it.
Just practice acknowledging it.
Repeat it a few times if you’d like.
The goal isn’t to convince yourself that you’re perfect.
The goal is to become more comfortable recognizing your own worth.
🌱 Your Tiny Habit
Catch yourself doing something right.
At some point today, pause and notice one thing you handled well.
It could be something very ordinary:
- You finished something you had been putting off.
- You were patient in a difficult moment.
- You helped someone.
- You kept a promise to yourself.
- You tried something new.
- You spoke honestly.
- You made time for yourself.
At the end of the day, write:
“Today, I am proud of myself for __________.”
🌸 Your Self-Care Moment
Take a few minutes today to do something that makes you feel calm and comfortable.
Make a cup of tea, listen to music, read a few pages, sit outside, stretch gently, or simply enjoy some quiet time.
While you’re doing it, remind yourself:
You don’t always have to be improving to be worthy of appreciation.
Sometimes you can simply pause and enjoy being yourself.
💭 Today’s Reminder
You are more than the things you want to improve.
Your strengths deserve attention too.
Don’t wait for someone else to tell you what is good about you.
Start noticing it yourself.
🌿 Today, choose to see yourself with a little more kindness.
📖 Day 2 Reflection
Before you finish today’s challenge, answer these two questions:
What was easiest for me to appreciate about myself?
What was hardest for me to recognize?
If you struggled to write your list today, that’s okay.
You don’t need to force an answer.
The more you practice noticing your positive qualities, the easier it can become to recognize them.
🌱 Your Day 2 Takeaway
Yesterday, you started where you are.
Today, you noticed what is already there.
Tomorrow, we’ll work on something that can easily affect confidence:
Day 3: Stop Comparing Your Journey
You’ll explore how comparison can distract you from your own progress and how to bring your attention back to your own journey.
One small step. One day at a time. 🌿
🌸 A Little Note From Serene Edits
You don’t have to discover something extraordinary about yourself today.
Sometimes confidence begins with noticing something very ordinary and saying:
“I like that about myself.”
That’s enough for today.
